ASUNCION, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Paraguay will meet Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia in friendlies next month as the South American team finalizes preparations for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Guaranies will confront Bulgaria in Sofia on November 14 and Saudi Arabia in Riyadh five days later, the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) said in a statement on Monday.

The announcement came less than a week after the APF said it canceled November friendlies against Argentina and Venezuela, scheduled in Dhaka, Bangladesh, due to an alleged contract breach by organizers.

The matches will provide the last chance for Paraguay manager Eduardo Berrizo to test his squad before the South American zone World Cup qualifiers, which begin next March.

Paraguay have not qualified for the World Cup since the 2010 edition in South Africa, where they reached the quarterfinals.
