Kenyan coffee seeks to lure more Chinese consumers for its quality, as producers look forward to the upcoming 2nd China International Import Expo scheduled in Shanghai next week.

NAIROBI, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The East African country Kenya plans to showcase its quality coffee at the 2nd China International Import Expo that's scheduled to take place next week in Shanghai. The cash crop is ranked fourth in terms of the country's foreign exchange earnings.

Samuel Park, managing director for GoldRock Maasai coffee, has been running the business of coffee exports in Kenya over the last 30 years.

Samuel says Kenya has favorable altitude and weather for growing high quality coffee. Currently GoldRock International has three farms in different parts of Kenya, including Mt. Kilimanjaro area where they are growing different types of coffee.

Recently Kenya is targeting to increase its exports to China due to high demand from the Asian country for Kenya coffee.

Fan Jun, Africa Regional Manager of the Chinese company Gree Chain, says his company is helping in exporting Samuel's coffee to the Chinese market.

Fan said he is confident that Chinese customers will like Kenya coffee in the upcoming expo.
