BEIRUT, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of protesters took to the streets on Wednesday evening to continue their demonstrations against the ruling class in Lebanon, LBCI TV channel reported.

Protesters said their continuous movements aim at guaranteeing that a new government capable of dealing with their needs and concerns will be formed soon without any delay.

Protests calmed down a day earlier following Prime Minister Saad Hariri's announcement of resignation and roads were opened by the Lebanese army after being blocked for the past 13 days.

Hariri called upon his supporters to refrain from going to the streets and to cooperate with the Lebanese army and internal forces.
