Israel's exports to China up 14.3 pct in Q3

JERUSALEM, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Israeli goods exports to China rose by 14.3 percent in the third quarter of 2019, compared with the same quarter in 2018, according to a report released Thursday by Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics.

According to the data, Israeli exports to China totaled 2.32 billion U.S. dollars in July-September period this year, compared with 2.03 billion dollars in the same period in 2018.

However, Israel's overall exports to China from the beginning of 2019 fell by 15.3 percent year on year, from 7.14 billion dollars in January-September 2018 to 6.05 billion dollars in those months in 2019.

In September 2019, Israeli exports to China totaled 898.9 million dollars, down 9.3 percent from 991.4 million dollars in September 2018.

In the third quarter, Israeli imports from China also rose from 2.36 billion dollars in 2018 to 2.44 billion dollars in the same months in 2019, an increase of 3.4 percent.

Israeli imports from China during January-September 2019 totaled 6.59 billion dollars, compared with 6.75 billion dollars in the first 9 months of 2018, a decrease of 2.4 percent.
