KUWAIT CITY, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait held on Sunday a forum to support domestic products and relevant industries.
The two-day forum, themed "Supporting Local Product," was held as part of an initiative by Kuwait Journalists Association, Kuwait Association for the Protection of Industrial Properties and Kuwait Industries Union.
At the opening ceremony, Mohamed Al-Adwani, deputy director-general of Kuwaiti Public Authority for Industry, said the diversification of income sources is the strategic government goal in which supporting local products is the main focus.
The Kuwaiti substitute for imports is a basic goal for the country, he noted, saying the domestic industry is the pillar of the national economy.
