NANJING, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- With two big threes pulled by Shi Hongfei in last minutes, Jiangsu Dragons overcame Nanjing Monkey Kings 90-88 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Tuesday.
Antonio Blakeney notched a game-high 40 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Jiangsu. Joseph Young of Nanjing scored a team-leading 19 points and his teammate Hamed Haddadi contributed 16 points plus 13 rebounds.
Both teams were not efficient at offensive end in early period but Blakeney was in his unstoppable form, shooting couple of tough jump shots to help his team lead by double-digit at half time.
Nanjing had their chance as center Haddadi dominated the paint area and his teammate Yu Changchun shot 4 for 5. But Shi Hongfei, who only posted six points throughout the game, helped Jiangsu put their opponents on the rope with his two three-pointers in the last quarter.
