Ruy Menezes (C) looks on during a training session at a club in Beijing, China, on Nov. 6, 2019. Ruy Menezes is a 54-year-old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach from Rio de Janeiro. He got black belt from Carlson Gracie Junior, who is the grandson of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master Carlos Gracie. Ruy came to China for the first time in 2003. In 2009, Ruy began to teach Jiu-Jitsu at a club in Beijing. Four Chinese players got black belts under the instruction from Ruy. At present, Ruy settles in Beijing city and get used to the daily life here. "I won't teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu any more if I leave Beijing, because my team and my life are here." He said.
