BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The second season of a popular Chinese TV show featuring the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, went on air Friday night.

Celebrities join hands with experts and designers to explore different places and relics in the museum, and design creative cultural products in the show.

The first season of the show was released in 2018 and scored 8.1 out of 10 points on Chinese film rating site Douban.

Some major archaeological discoveries will be introduced for the first time in the second season, according to the museum.

Compared with the first season, this season will not only cover the history of China, but also the cultural exchanges between China and western countries.

The show displayed the charm and vitality of the Palace Museum in a way that resonates with young people, said Wang Xudong, curator of the museum, hoping that the beauty of the museum will be seen by more people through the show.
