KUWAIT CITY, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait opened on Monday a laboratory for food analysis.

At the opening ceremony, Fahd Al-Shula, Kuwait's Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, said that the government is keen to provide citizens and residents with a better life through the development of innovative projects.

It is the largest government laboratory in the country and will contribute to the elimination of bad food through its laboratories to analyze food, he noted.

The laboratory will protect the health and safety of the residents and achieve the basic elements of life, he said, noting that it will be handed over to the General Authority for Food and Nutrition and the competent authorities for operation.
