BAGHDAD, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- A high-level Iraqi media delegation has visited China and witnessed the latest developments there, in addition to exchanging views and experiences with their Chinese media counterparts.
Ali Jasim Mohammed, editor-in-chief of the state-owned Iraqi News Agency, told Xinhua on Monday that "our visit to China had left us with many positive impressions, especially after we were briefed about the urban and economic developments in various Chinese provinces."
"We learned about the Chinese culture through our meetings and the Chinese officials as well as through interacting with the Chinese citizens," he said. "The depth of Chinese civilization is highly reflected on this great development of the country."
Mohammed welcomed the Chinese side to promote such interactive visits to expand the relations between the two friendly peoples.
Another delegation member, Jasim Mohammed Hassan, from Salahudin satellite channel, told Xinhua "I have filmed many beautiful scenes in this wonderful country that reflect the great development, and I will make television reports for my TV station to convey what I have seen in various Chinese cities that we visited."
"What we have seen ... shows the keenness of the Chinese leadership to provide the best services and all needs to the Chinese people," Hassan added.
The visit of the eight-member delegation was at the invitation of the Chinese embassy in Baghdad, and comprised of journalists from various Iraqi media, including from the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan.
All the members were impressed and hailed China's leading experience in achieving the well-off livelihood for the Chinese people.
The delegation also held meetings with Chinese journalists and exchanged with them experiences and means to enhance media cooperation between Iraq and China.
