SINGAPORE, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.87 percent, or 28.58 points, to close at 3,239.22.
A total of 1.51 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.14 billion Singapore dollars (about 838.24 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 227 to 175.
The STI index went up 0.84 percent, or 27.15 points, to close at 3,267.80 Tuesday. Enditem
