JAKARTA, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government has formed a particular task force and opened an online-based public reporting system in a move to curb radicalism that spreads among civil servants.

The formation of the mechanism to stop the spread of radicalism among civil servants was endorsed by 11 related ministries and state agencies.

"This mechanism, which is aimed at assuring civil servants who are a key element to support the nation's political policies, has a high competency in carrying out their tasks and strong nationalism," Indonesia's Communications and Information Minister Johnny Gerard Plate said on the sidelines of a session to launch the mechanism on Tuesday.

Plate said that his ministry would fully support operation of the website to accommodate public reports on civil servants suspected of being exposed to radicalism.

Reports filed in by the public through the website would eventually be responded to and analyzed further by the task force.

"The existence of the task force will make the measures to eradicate intolerance and radicalism among civil servants done systematically, comprehensively and pertinently," Secretary at the Ministry of the State Bureaucracy and Administrative Reforms Dwi Wahyu Atmaji said on the same occasion.
