BEIJING, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Shen Yueyue, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), Monday called for effective supervision by the legislature to ensure comprehensive and effective implementation of the Law on Renewable Energy.
Speaking at a plenary meeting of the inspection team on the enforcement of the renewable energy law, Shen said suggestions should be proposed for problems found during the inspection.
Shen stressed the importance of meticulously reviewing the inspection report and following up the issues found.
The inspection was launched in August. The NPC Standing Committee sent inspectors to six provincial-level regions, while the legislative bodies in 12 other regions were tasked to run parallel inspections.
The inspection is a major task of the NPC Standing Committee this year to fulfill its supervision duty, Shen said, adding it has achieved practical results.
