GENEVA, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- The online ticketing platform for the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games will open on November 21 at 11am, as announced by the organizing committee.
The platform will enable the public to purchase tickets to the January 9 opening ceremony, and to register to attend the Games' indoor competitions for free.
Tickets for the opening ceremony will be available in several categories and at different prices, with family tickets also available. Spectators with a ticket to the opening ceremony will receive a travel card, which will entitle them to travel within all zones of Lausanne's public transport network for three hours before and three hours after the ceremony. A specific ticket category and adapted seating will be reserved for the disabled.
Additionally, though all Lausanne 2020 competitions will be free with open seating, access to indoor competitions will be possible exclusively upon pre-registration. The ticketing platform will allow spectators to register for these competitions.
All medal ceremonies will be free and open to the public.
