RABAT, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- The third China Trade Week in Morocco, an important economic and investment B2B meeting, will be held in Casablanca on Dec. 16-18, announced the organizer on Thursday.

The event will bring together more than 400 important Chinese manufacturers who will exhibit their products from different industries, said the Chinese MIE group in a statement.

It will also showcase Chinese manufacturers' intention to develop direct trading links with the Moroccan and African business community, it said.

Various economic sectors will be represented at this year's event, including the tea industry, construction, agriculture, electricity, electronics, renewable energy, textiles and consumer goods, the statement added.

Trade and commercial relations between Morocco and China have been developing smoothly in the last years.

Official statistics showed that the trade between the two countries increased to 5.44 billion U.S. dollars in 2018, from 1.7 billion dollars in 2005.
