BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- "Ride Your Wave," winner of the SIFF Golden Goblet Award for Best Animation Film, is set to hit Chinese theaters on Dec. 7, according to the China Film Distribution and Exhibition Association.
An emotional Japanese film by acclaimed director Masaaki Yuasa, "Ride Your Wave" tells of a love story between a surfer and a firefighter.
It was first screened at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 10, 2019, before being screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival on June 21.
A Chinese-subtitled trailer has been released via the film's official Weibo account.
The film's China release was previously scheduled for Aug. 7.
