SINGAPORE, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.24 percent, or 7.68 points, to close at 3,215.53.
A total of 1.34 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.28 billion Singapore dollars (about 937.04 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 172 to 165.
The STI index went down 0.4 percent, or 12.78 points, to close at 3,207.85 on Tuesday. Enditem
