To meet China's soaring demand, 8,000-km cross-border gas pipeline operational

The China-Russia east-route natural gas pipeline became operational Monday, marking start of a new era in the two countries' energy cooperation. China's apparent natural gas consumption reached 280.3 billion cubic meters in 2018.
