LONDON, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- China's top player Ding Junhui ousted defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan 6-4 to grab a quarterfinal berth at snooker UK Championships in York on Thursday.
Ding, 32, started the match thrillingly by winning the opening three frames with breaks of 81, 52 and 110 while O'Sullivan failed to pot at all.
O'Sullivan, who turned 44 on Thursday, fought back to level at 4-4 but failed to stop an in-from Ding in the following two frames.
