Chinese comedy "Two Tigers" continues to lead Chinese mainland box office

BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese domestic comedy "Two Tigers" topped the Chinese mainland box office for the fourth consecutive day Thursday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network Friday.

The film raked in about 11.3 million yuan (about 1.61 million U.S. dollars) on its seventh day of screening, accounting for over 26 percent of the daily total.

The film tells of the dark humor of a kidnapped businessman, played by renowned Chinese actor Ge You, who turns the tables on his kidnapper.

It was followed by American crime drama "Knives Out," which grossed about 8.6 million yuan.

Coming in third was "Frozen II," a sequel to the 2013 Disney animated blockbuster "Frozen," pocketing over 5.83 million yuan on its 14th day of screening.
