TOKYO, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks were flat on Tuesday morning as investors were in a circumspect mood ahead of central banks' policy meetings in Europe and the United States this week against a backdrop of uncertainty about the outlook for the global economy.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 2.03 points, or 0.01 percent, from Monday to 23,428.67.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, edged up 0.25 point, or 0.01 percent, at 1,722.32.
Miscellaneous product and farm and fishery issues led gainers, while electric power and gas, and oil and coal product-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break. Enditem
