BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese education authority has called for joint efforts by education departments and schools to guard against potential safety risks as the fall semester is drawing to an end.
A safety warning issued Monday by the office of the education supervision commission of the State Council required school bus management to be strengthened and traffic information to be published on time.
Food safety on campus should be improved, it said, urging strict adherence to the practice of school heads or teachers dining together with students.
Special attention should be paid to children in rural and remote areas to make sure they are taken good care of while their parents work in cities, it said.
