WINDHOEK, Dec. 17 ( Xinhua) -- The 2019 African Youth Chess Championship (AYCC) is coming to Namibia this year, the Namibian Chess Federation (NCF) said on Tuesday.
Last year, 170 players from 12 African countries and regions battled it out in Kenya during the 10th AYCC. This year, more than a staggering 280 players, including 60 Namibians, from 18 African nations will take part as Namibia hosts the AYCC showcase.
The participating countries are Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Egypt, Gabon, Kenya, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Mozambique, Ghana.
