FRANKFURT, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 119.83 points, or 0.89 percent, to close at 13,287.83 points.
Multinational software corporation SAP lost 3.34 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by financial services provider Wirecard and chemical group BASF, which lost 2.65 percent and 2.32 percent respectively.
Energy group E.ON gained 1.48 percent, becoming the top gainer. Reinsurance company Munich Re and energy group RWE advanced 0.79 percent and 0.68 percent respectively.
SAP was the most traded share with a turnover of 428.4 million euros (478.1 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
