Bird watching economy booms in Sanhe village of southwest China's Yunnan

A wild bird perches on a branch in Sanhe Village of Luzhang Township in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province, Dec. 16, 2019. Sanhe Village is located in the deep of the Nujiang River valley. In spite of poor transportation conditions, it is blessed with rich forest resources and regarded as wild birds' heaven. In 2018, a company initiated two pilot bird-watching spots, which attracted shutterbugs across China. Local authority added up to 15 spots to boost bird watching economy, and has won fruitful results both in terms of poverty alleviation and ecological protection. (Xinhua/Jiang Wenyao)
