SHANGHAI, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures closed higher Friday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for February delivery was up 1.22 yuan (about 17 U.S. cents) to close at 336.08 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for seven listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 189,882 lots, with a turnover of about 63.93 billion yuan.
