Chinese pay television company StarTimes on Friday handed over a digital television project to Kenyan authorities after successful implementation. The project that was launched in June 2018, and is part of the 10,000 digital villages project implemented by StarTimes across Africa, involved installation of satellite television services in public institutions and households in 47 Kenyan counties. The project involves installing satellite television dishes, high definition set top box and other accessories in 800 villages across the country. So far, 16,000 individual households and 2,400 public institutions have benefited from the satellite digital television project in the country. (Xinhua/Zhang Yu)
