WASHINGTON, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- MLS team FC Dallas are set to sign an extension contract with their goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez, local media reported on Friday.
Gonzalez, 24, started 32 regular-season games in 2019 for Dallas, and he will be signing a new "long-term contract" with Dallas amid recent interest from abroad.
With dual nationality, Gonzalez has spent time in the set-ups of both Mexico and the US national teams, but recently he officially announced that he would represent the US team in international level.
Dallas will open the 2020 MLS regular season on Feb. 29 at home against the Philadelphia Union.
