TEHRAN, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Iran will offer incentives to support initiatives aiming at curbing pollution with hi-tech innovations, Financial Tribune daily reported on Saturday.

Abbas Esmaeili, Iran's Vice Presidential Office's secretary for environmental issues, said there are numerous tech firms working on water treatment, soil degradation, air pollution and weather forecast.

The best ideas and products will receive financial, technical and legal support, said Esmaeili.

The incentives were jointly proposed by Iran's Vice Presidential Office for Science and Technology and the Department of Environment.

"The prevailing environmental issues and pollution are multidimensional problems that can be approached from different angles," he was quoted as saying.
