BANGKOK, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- In his first message greetings to the people of Thailand on Wednesday, Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha promised to dedicate every hour of his time to the good of the country and the people.
In a 15-second video clip posted on his Facebook page, Prayut said, "I am determined to solve all problems and initiate new things. I promise to use every hour of every day to its fullest. I will not stop working for the nation and the people so long as I am still strong physically and mentally."
Prayut ended his video message wishing the Thai people happiness, success and for their hopes to be fulfilled.
On the last day of 2019 Tuesday, Prayut and his wife led cabinet ministers and their spouses to sign a book of good wishes for the Thai King and Queen at the Grand Palace.
