CHANGCHUN, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Dominique Jones scored 24 points as Jilin smashed Tianjin 119-82 in the 25th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Saturday to establish a three-game winning streak.
With consecutive three-pointers, Jilin took the lead and ended up the first quarter 25-17 after Jiang Yuxing expanded the gap.
Jin Xin managed to cut the deficit to 4 points for Tianjin in the second quarter, before Jones led a 6-0 run and helped Jilin to take back control of the game.
Jilin kept the advantage, led up to 30 points in the following game and make the last quarter garbage time, sending Tianjin packing with its seventh loss in a row.
Jones led Jilin with 24 points and 4 assists, Dai Huaibo contributed 23 points, and Eli Holman had 21 points and 15 rebounds. Jiang Yuxing collected 14 points and Jiang Weize made 11 points for the home side.
Marko Todorovic scored 24 points and 11 rebounds for Tianjin. Chasson Randle made 14 points, and Shi Deshuai added 14 points.
With its seventh defeat in a row, Tianjin stays second to bottom in the standings. Jilin climbed up to eighth place.
