HANGZHOU, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Guard Sun Minghui scored a team-high 23 points to help the Zhejiang Lions beat the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 98-88 at home, snapping the visitors' 8-game winning streak in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Tuesday.

Sun Minghui also had six assists and six steals, shooting 9 for 13 from the field. Dezmine Wells and Corey Webster contributed 17 points respectively.

Kelanbaike led Xinjiang with 16 points, while Jarnell Stokes and Kay Felder combined to score 22 points.

"We played a bad game in both offense and defense, 16 turnovers at halftime was a disaster," Xinjiang head coach A Dijiang said.

Zhejiang jumped out to a 9-2 lead early in the first quarter and led 28-20 heading into the second quarter where the visitors had more than 10 turnovers. After a 19-2 run, the hosts led 57-37 at halftime.

Zhejiang once lead by 20 points, 84-64, in the fourth quarter before Xinjiang rallied for a 24-12 run to cut it to eight points.

"Our players really did a good job on defense, especially for the rival's key players," Zhejiang's coach Li Chunjiang said.

Zhejiang climbed up to seventh following the victory, while Xinjiang remain in second place.
