FRANKFURT, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 11.75 points, or 0.09 percent, to close at 13,483.31 points.
German airlines Lufthansa lost 2.13 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by manufacturing and electronics company Siemens and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which shed 2.03 percent and 1.90 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE gained 6.40 percent, becoming the top gainer. Energy group E.ON and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen advanced 2.23 percent and 2.09 percent respectively.
Volkswagen was the most traded share with a turnover of 281.1 million euros (312.3 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
