LAUSANNE, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Mixed team 3-on-3 ice hockey made its first appearance here on Friday at the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games.

This big innovation for ice hockey, which mixed into teams of 11 skaters and two goaltenders, plays at a full rink divided in two with two games running simultaneously. Mixed team 3-on-3 includes 8 teams per gender category in Lausanne, consisting of players from different countries and regions.
