HANGZHOU, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Marcus Edward Denmon came off the bench to score a game-high 32 points, helping Zhejiang Golden Bulls beat Beijing Royal Fighters 126-97 at home in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Friday.

Sylven Landesberg finished with 29 points and seven assists, while guard Wu Qian contributed 16 points and forward Zhu Xuhang added 21 points for Zhejiang.

Kyle Fogg led Beijing with 21 points, with veteran guard Sun Yue adding nine points and six assists.

"Our players had no energy on court. They failed to focus on the game and our defense was terrible," Beijing head coach Stephon Marbury said.

Zhejiang opened the game with a 12-2 run and led 31-25 into the second quarter after Wu Qian hit a three-pointer at the buzzer.

The hosts continued to enlarge the advantage after they stormed to an 11-4 run early in the second quarter and led 64-41 at halftime.

Although the visitors had three international players on the court in the third quarter, they still failed to narrow the gap and the hosts easily sealed the victory.

Zhejiang made 13 out of 31 attempts from the arc and had 11 blocks against zone from their rivals.

"They played very well both on offense and defense. Every player on court showed their best," Zhejiang coach Liu Weiwei said.

With the win, Zhejiang climbs up to eighth while Beijing remains in fifth place.
