GUANGZHOU, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Tyler Hansbrough had a game-high 29 points and 11 rebounds as Sichuan Whales edged Guangzhou Long Lions 111-107 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Sunday.
Courtney Fortson had 22 points and nine rebounds for Sichuan. Marcus Hunt scored 27 points while Andrew Nicolson added 21 points and 11 rebounds for Guangzhou.
The whole game was very close and Guangzhou held a slender one-point advantage with one minute on the clock. Li Yuanyun scored four points in the paint to gift Sichuan a 109-106 lead, before Guangzhou failed in a foul strategy and handed over the game.
