KHARTOUM, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Minister of Industry and Trade Madani Abbas Madani on Monday inaugurated the 37th session of the International Fair of Khartoum.
The seven-day fair, organized by the Sudanese Free Zones and Markets Company, will see the participation of 25 countries and over 600 national and international companies.
"The inauguration of this session comes at a very important time as Sudan is witnessing political, economic and social changes," said Madani when addressing the fair's inauguration ceremony.
He further expressed hope that the fair would continue to be a resource to help the country overcome its current economic conditions and lead to the development of free zones.
Mohamed Abdalla, chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Fair of Khartoum, hoped that the fair would provide opportunities for the participants to achieve integration.
