TIRANA, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- The number of road accidents in Albania fell by 12.8 percent in 2019 compared to the previous year, the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported on Monday.
According to INSTAT data, in 2019 the number of road accidents in the country amounted to 1,498, down from 1,718 cases in 2018.
In 2019, the number of people killed or injured from road accidents is 2,044 from 2,291 in the previous year, down 10.8 percent year on year.
In this period the number of people killed in road accidents in Albania, according to INSTAT, is 227 from 213 in 2018. Enditem
