Seven killed, dozens injured in bomb explosion east of Sudan's capital: report

KHARTOUM, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed and around 70 others seriously injured, including children, when a grenade bomb exploded at a wedding ceremony in the Al-Haj Yousif area, east of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, the official SUNA news agency reported Tuesday.

"The incident took place on Monday evening when a person threw a grenade bomb at a wedding party in the Al-Shegla area of Al-Haj Yousif town," the report said.

Among the injured, some sustained serious injuries, it said.

The attacker has not been arrested yet.
