CHICAGO, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures traded mixed on Monday morning, with soybean futures falling over 10 cents as trades are awaiting fresh Chinese purchases.
As of 1730 GMT, the most active corn contract for March delivery decreased 2.25 cents to 3.87 U.S. dollars per bushel. March wheat added 7 cents to 5.775 dollars per bushel. March soybeans drooped 12.75 cents to 9.17 dollars per bushel.
China and the United States formally signed the highly expected phase-one economic and trade agreement last week. Market participants hope the deal will increase U.S. crop sales to China.
CBOT soybean futures edged lower in a technical setback after a nearly 4-percent climb in the previous session.
CBOT wheat futures rose slightly on technical buying. Enditem
