Austria's Hoelzl wins women's ski jumping World Cup to claim yellow bib

BUCHAREST, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Austrian jumper Chiara Hoelzl claimed the women's ski jumping World Cup title in Rasnov, Romania on Saturday, taking the yellow bib as the season's World Cup overall leader.

Hoelzl landed two jumps of 89.0 meters and 99.0 meters in the final, with a total of 247.6 points to top the podium, beating Katharina Althaus of Germany and her teammate Eva Pinkelnig by 1.9 points and 6.9 points respectively.

Following her sixth podium finish and second World Cup individual win of the season, Hoelzl now leads the overall World Cup table with 570 points, only one point ahead of Pinkelnig. Olympic champion Maren Lundby of Norway, who finished fifth on Saturday, couldn't keep the leader bib and currently ranks third with 555 points.

The 25-year-old Chinese jumper Li Xueyao made her third World Cup appearance of the season, finishing 26th in the final with jumps of 81.5 meters, 86.0 meters for 189.7 points. Enditem
