Asia Album: Malaysia's Penang marks Chinese New Year at "Miao Hui"

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Penang Chinese New Year Celebration "Miao Hui" was held on Sunday in Penang, Malaysia, as people gathered and celebrated with folk rhyme, Teochew opera, lion dance and multicultural performances.

"Miao Hui", also called Temple Fair, or commonly known as Penang Chinese New Year Celebration in Penang is an annual event. It aims to spread traditional Chinese cultures through a Chinese New Year festive event.
