WUHAN, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- The city of Huanggang, one of the hardest-hit cities in the epidemic-stricken Hubei Province, has added 17 designated hospitals and established a particular treatment plan for every patient infected with the novel coronavirus, local authorities said Tuesday at a press conference.

The city now has 30 designated hospitals, 127 fever clinics and 10 testing institutions that can conduct more than 900 tests a day, according to Liu Xuerong, Huanggang's Party chief.

Liu added that the city had identified 13,000 feverish individuals during a screening campaign that covered communities, public spaces, road checkpoints as well as enterprises and public institutions, Liu said.

Everyone with a fever has been quarantined, put under observation in hospitals or transferred, Liu said, noting that the number of doctors and nurses participating in the treatment in Huanggang has increased from 1,200 to 7,109.

Huanggang had reported 2,332 confirmed cases of novel coronavirous infection by Monday.
