BEIRUT, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- British Ambassador to Lebanon Chris Rampling said that Britain will provide help to Lebanon depending on the reforms that will be taken by the new cabinet, local media reported on Sunday.
"We need to see a clear and comprehensive strategy by the new cabinet and the most important is for officials to allow this cabinet to work properly," Rampling was quoted as saying by Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.
Rampling also assured that any person who works in cooperation with Hezbollah "is subject to prosecution."
Last month, Britain placed Lebanon's Hezbollah movement on its list of terrorist groups.
Some Lebanese officials previously voiced their concerns about the new cabinet's capacity to attract financial support due to the support by Hezbollah.
