Portuguese star Daniel Carrico has completed his transfer to Wuhan Zall from Sevilla, the Chinese Super League outfit announced on Thursday

WUHAN, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Portuguese star Daniel Carrico has completed his transfer to Wuhan Zall from Sevilla, the Chinese Super League outfit announced on Thursday.

Having come through the youth academy of Sporting CP, Carrico scored two goals from 91 outings for the Portuguese powerhouse in Primeira Liga.

The 31-year-old defender moved to Sevilla on permanent basis from Reading in 2014 after one-season loan in the La Liga giants. In his six and a half seasons with Sevilla, he made 111 appearances and won the Europa League title three seasons in a row.

"With both the mentality and technique, Daniel will be the pillar on the defensive line, we expect a good performance in the future," read a statement of Zall.
