CHICAGO, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures traded sharply lower on Monday morning, with wheat and soybeans both losing double digits amid massive selling.
As of 1626 GMT, the most active wheat contract for May delivery was down 17.75 cents to 5.3425 U.S. dollars per bushel. May soybeans were also down 17.75 cents to 8.8125 dollars per bushel. May corn was down 6 cents to 3.7475 dollars per bushel.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Monday morning confirmed export sales of 163,290 metric tons of U.S. soybeans for delivery to Mexico during 2019/20 marketing year. Still, the news failed to boost CBOT soybean futures. Enditem
