HELSINKI, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Finland reported the first case of Finnish national diagnosed with coronavirus infection Thursday.

The patient is a working-age Finnish woman who had caught the disease while visiting Milan, Northern Italy, days ago, said officials from Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS) at a press conference.

The patient, described as feverish but in good condition, is getting ward care in Helsinki, according to HUS.

The patient, taking a connecting flight from Italy, arrived in Finland on Sunday. No other information about her has been disclosed.

This is the second confirmed case in Finland and the first case of Finnish national diagnosed with coronavirus infection.

In late January, a female Chinese tourist tested positive for novel coronavirus in northern Finland's Lapland. She had been discharged from hospital later.
