BEIRUT, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon announced on Friday that the fourth case of COVID-19 infection was confirmed in the country, LBCI local TV channel reported.

Lebanon also had 25 additional suspected cases of the virus infection on Friday, according to Rafic Hariri University Hospital, the largest Lebanese public hospital.

The hospital noted that 16 people were transferred to isolation units after clinical examination while the rest were sent home for self-isolation.

The Lebanese education minister is expected to issue a decision in the next 48 hours to shut down schools for a week over the coronavirus outbreak.
