RABAT, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Morocco won the International Futsal Tournament, held in Croatia, on Thursday, beating the United States 6-1 in the final.
In the previous games of this tournament, the North African team hammered Moldova 9-1, Montenegro 4-1 and Istria 11-1, the official news agency MAP reported.
The tournament is part of the Morocco's preparations for the World Cup finals, to take place from September 12 to October 4 in Lithuania.
In February, Morocco won the 6th Futsal Africa Cup of Nations held in Laayoune, southern Morocco, after whitewashing Egypt 5-0 in the final, retaining the continental trophy they had claimed in 2016 in South Africa where they upset Egypt 3-2 in the final.
Morocco, Egypt and Angola will represent Africa at the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania. Enditem
