China's Tianjin discharges last COVID-19 patient

TIANJIN, March 15 (Xinhua) -- The last patient confirmed of coronavirus infection has been discharged from hospital Sunday afternoon in north China's Tianjin Municipality.

Tianjin became another provincial-level region that has seen the number of COVID-19 patients drop to zero. As of Sunday, the city has reported 136 confirmed cases with 133 cured and 3 deaths.

The patient, a sales clerk at a local department store in Baodi district, was admitted to Haihe Hospital on Feb. 2.

The patient has got relieved respiratory symptoms and showed remarkable absorption on lung image, according to Mei Zaoxian, a chief physician at the hospital, who also noted that the patient is currently in good mental and physical condition with two negative nucleic acid test results.
